Over-the-Shoulder

     

 

This is a great mode of shooting if you are camera shy.

In this mode you will set up your camera on a tripod pointed over your shoulder onto your workspace.

You will place the lavalier microphone on yourself so that you can narrate what we are looking at, this is similar to the documentation/examination mode of shooting which is essentially a handheld version of this set up. If you don't have a colleague on hand helping you I recommend that you wear the headphones so that you can be sure you are getting a good sound recording of yourself and also know if your arms are brushing against the microphone as you are demonstrating for the camera.
